Prof. Adnane Remmal

Pr. Adnane Remmal is currently Professor of Biotechnology and head of the Laboratory of Biotechnology at the school of Sciences Dhar el Mahraz, University Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah, Fez. He obtained his PhD. degree in molecular pharmacology in 1987 from Orsay University (Paris XI, France). He then moved back to Morocco, and was able to obtain a second PhD degree in Microbiology from the University of Fez, Morocco in 1994.

Professor Remmal is a member of the board of directors at the National Agency for Evaluation and Quality Assurance of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Morocco (2016-2019). Professor Remmal co-founded in 2004 the company "Advanced Scientific Developments" (ASD); a firm specialized in the protection and valorization of inventions and innovations. He also co-founded in 2016 the "Industrial Laboratory of Veterinary Alternatives" (LIAV); this firm manufactures and distributes alternatives to Antibiotics and Pesticides. In 2017 Dr. Remmal founded the “Research and Development Agronomical Alternatives”(R&DAA) with the main objective to create innovative solutions for the multitude national and international Agricultural problems. The first innovative products resulting from Professor REMMAL's efforts have arrived on the market. Hereby some examples:

  • Boosted antibiotic OLIPEN®, For human medicine, produced and distributed by the laboratory SOTHEMA, and NPVolaille®, NPRumen ® and NPDrinking water® feed additives for livestock produced and distributed by the company LIAV.
  • During the past thirty-six years (1987-2023), Dr. Remmal has trained dozens of students during their masters and PhD degrees, whom are currently active in different Research Centers and industries in Morocco and abroad. Professor Remmal has filed several patents1 and published many peer-reviewed articles2 in the fields of
